[F2P] Fist of Guthix

I'm was at the mercy of my whim to fight in Fist of Guthix today. The true terror of the activity lies not in the concept of gameplay but in the opponent who manifested my dread defeat. I did have several 130+ (s) as my opponent and they completely destroyed me. The most demoralising thing was that I was faced with him a second time and I could foresee my demise. Once bitten, twice shy and thrice shun. I did leave immediately after I was paired up with him a third time so as to end the pain swiftly while not causing further embarrassment. Ancients and dragon claws were the culprit of my downfall. It seemed like there were no other choice except switching to f2p servers so as to reduce encounters with high levels and reduce the difficulty.

Well one of the things I actually appreciate on f2p servers were that levels meant absolutely everything and the combat triangle advantage are of little significance (A warrior can slash a mage down on f2p due to the absence of binds which makes the mage vulnerable to a counterattack) . A level 90 could never defeat a level 110 on a f2p server but he could ace a much higher leveled player if he plays his cards right on a members server. Fighting newbies on f2p server did allow me to regain my confidence.

However, 5k Charges was the max charge attainable so my turn ended even though I managed to tank all of his attacks.

I deployed the Protect from Melee prayer even though he was just a level 49. As he was of a lower level he was unable to left click me to launch a default attack so I used that to my advantage along with the obstacles of the terrain to constantly trap him as he did not attempt to use Ranged or Magic attack.

Oh yeah! I managed to 2-hit him by luck before he even equipped the stone of power to begin holding charges. He was probably tired of his futile attempts to bring me down and left.

Quests Ftw!

Title explains it all. One of the reasons for questing was probably because I wanted to train slayer.

Well its complicated due to its intricate elements. See the point is that I've heard of a new slayer master better than Sumona. I did read one of Tim's old blog post on his Abyssal Demon Slayer Assignment that he has obtained 2 ferocious ring ( Whats that?! :o ) . Erm so... [dramatic long pause] I was the cat that died- curious I meant. I did a quick search on ferocious ring on the Runescape Wiki and didn't fail to notice the benefits of this ring in Kuradal's Dungeon. However things are not as simple as it seems. In order to access this dungeon using the fairy ring system, one needs to repair the fairy ring. I did tried B-J-Q but failed so I thought that I will need to complete the barbarian training just so I can fully unlock the Ancient Cavern before I can warp there using the Fairy Ring system and reconstruct the ring to allow me to teleport back. This means I will need to defeat Mithril Dragons and hopefully get a chewed bone needed for the pyre.

Note: Mangled bones do work, but my nature would be to definitely get my hands on the chewed bones so I can complete one of the Fremennik Hard Task and finish barbarian training simultaneously.

I attempted at slaying the Mithril Dragon but was quickly forced to bank after 3-4 kills due to their frequent devastating hits and my infrequent red hit splats which delayed the match and drained my supplies. It was definitely not surprising to find the Mdragon at its full hp even after 4 dds specs. The brizarre beast seems to hate circus performances as he was not fazed by the ineffective slashes by my whip, let alone the sound of my cracking whip. It seems like they're rather resistant to most attacks and I might need a stab weapon to have the every bit of increased accuracy I will need against these awful foes.

That's when I stumbled upon the Korasi's Sword which is listed as an effective approach to Mdragons second to only the highly sought-after chaotic stab weapons and so the quest continues...

Had my grave 3 times due to failed attempts at Pest Queen but watching helpful videos on youtube did do the trick.

Returning to Runescape

Really. After a long break from runescape, I've decided to reconnect to Forminable. It seems he was still his same old self. He was exhilarated to be in action again, mostly because he is finally a member-again- and can be a permanent one if I allow him. I've only recently discovered that I've all the requirements to own a paypal account and execute small amounts of online cash transactions. Yeah, I could do that 2 years ago when I was 16, if I wasn't stuck in my small shell or hiding in a well.

Not forgetting my expectations of Forminable, I drilled him in Agility at the Wilderness Agility Course without delay. Ruofan was there to accompany Form, while getting some Agility levels up as well. We are at constant fear of perilous player-killers due to the return of the Wilderness, along with herds of macro bots ( more than ever before), the beggars and scammers "which" (intended) will not shut up.

Many things have changed since my last return and to my dismay, it seems like many people have stopped rsing. Titus' reason was a rather special case in which one of his better computer has broken down and he spikes badly on his old comp. He did say he might come back to runescape when he gets his repair though.

Holidays

Wow, its been very long since i have posted anything. I used to be annoyed at manga artists having a break for a week and not releasing their chapters. Now, i can totally understand their feelings. I have not been active on runescape for a month so i couldn't post anything on it. This blog might need to switch to my daily stories so that i could at least post something though i haven't play runescape.

Fat Hope

Yea today is Friday, 6 Feb 2006. This marks the closure of Appealing to other schools. As I had covered in the previous post, half of the people from CTSS in JJ had appealed to enter other schools. Unfortunately, only 1 of them had managed to succeed in doing so. That person would be Quan Mei (Someone I missed out). She had managed to get into SAJC by appealing through choir.

To the rest of the crowd, it was a huge disappointment. Many of them have high hopes for themselves. Either they yearned to be in a reputated school or that they abhor being in JJ, it didn't matter. One word- Fail.

Besieged by haplessness and sorrow, those failed scholars could only choke back their tears and face the reality. A few had already bought their school uniform and PE Shirts while the less enlightened fellows continue to wait for the Yarazu Call.

New School, New Environment

There was a common mistake that many people make, by spelling environment without the letter 'n' even though it was quite basic to bear in mind. Unless the person doesn't have a mind to begin with :O .

Back to the topic, I was almost tardy ( if that is a slang) . Endeavouring to wake up at 5:30 am seemed to be infeasible if not, futile. It's quite relieving to have your school adjacent to your house. I have managed to report timely even though I woke up an hour later.

To my surprise, many clementeens were posted to JJ as well. A couple of those included 4C1s with people like Tin Wei yang, Liang Cheng, May Hui, Yu Zheng, Ya Huan, Tomi, Kok Ti and Yan ni. Some were even bearing single digits for their L1R5. Half of them have already decided to appeal for a transfer as they feel that JJ is a dumping ground.

The Truth: MOE was compelled to heighten the admission criteria for many schools due to the overwhelming number of people enrolling in JCs this year. As such, it is not a very big surprise that people with low L1R5 ending up in JJ.

The J2s were very high throughout the entire orientation as though they were suffering from euphoria. Followed by their warm welcome, we were required to do many cheers and different claps. Bashful crowd with barely audible responses. They attempted to lift our spirits but were given the "cold" reply. However, this did not stop them at all. They have a myriad of despicable methods like calling your name and then hitting your laps with frenzy power till you call someone else name and then repeat the "vicious cycle". I've let my guard down and sustained some injuries from their potent assault.

Vengeance time! After I had grasped the concept of the game, I launched my counterattack at the OGL. (Orientation Group Leader) Revenge was the only thing on my mind. I made sure each slap from my fury palm landed with more power. Though he was pwned, I suffered some recoil damage. Newton's third law - Every action comes with an equal and opposite reaction.

To end off, we were FORCED to do something insane! Mass dance on the first day! It was quite entertaining as I have mastered two very cool dance. One of the good parts was that my partner was quite gorgeous except the fact that she couldn't dance well. Maybe because she was shy or could not keep up with me because I was so hyper.

I bet we were the last to be released in the entire Singapore. They only allowed us to go home at 5 pm.

Omega Holidays Alpha School Days

Hello! After two posts of mostly trash to mask my waning blogging interest, my enthusiasm which had descended into hell returned earlier today! Basically, it has been resurrected.

Reasons was that I have managed to download the required software to resume blogging! ~~I will still be finding out how to reveal the missing Titles of my blog posts.~~ I HAVE MY BLOG TITLE! It was a feat to generate the blog title without messing up the intricate codes.

Lets celebrate my enthusiasm and mourn for the end of the holidays. The two month interval will soon be over. Tomorrow will be the start of school day and I will need to wake up at around 5:30 am , I'm insane, to prepare for school.

I've accelerated my runescape training by dumping in CASH for training so i could get some decent levels before the holidays end. My actions would somewhat be perceived as putting in no effort but cheating with money. 'Money makes the world go round'- this manifested the saying "Money is the root of all evil"as an archaic dogma misused by runescapers in poverty to console themselves that they were actually training the skills with pure effort rather than cheating. Who wouldn't want more money?

Some levels here, without using money.

I am quitting blogger now because its lame. Okay, I was just joking.

My elder sister has installed a trial Microsoft Office 2007 which had overwritten my Authentic Microsoft 2003 ( that was Titus' ). This lead to me, not being able to crop pictures now because trial 2007 has expired. I am complimenting them for their continued success in disabling my computer tools one after another.

YES! Them! My elder sister has an accessary!

Firstly, My Sister [The Accomplice] had downloaded a virus software and INSTALLED it onto the computer. Fortunately, she removed "them" quickly with the aid of an Anti Virus Software, along with other helpful files that i use frequently [ MS Paint , Calculator, The entire sound system,].

So now, I'm playing runescape without sound NOR High Definition. I can take pictures but i can't crop them! So i'll be doing some maintenance to my computer in hopes that i could restore it. Till then, no pictures!

Recipe For Disaster, a Master Quest! The Journey begins when Forminable heads off to save Pirate Pete! I shall be benevolent and rescue him, despite of his efforts to assassinate me a few times while i was reading runescape guides.

So i went to murphy with my diving gear and...

Stealing Creation

SStealing Creation is one of the less boring or i would say, highly entertaining minigames for members. You could kill players on the opponent team, steal their runes which they made painstakingly and receive points from playing the games. The points obtained could be used to purchase morphic tools which would grant you 2X exp in boring and expensive skills like mining and construction.

The only downside to this would be that the game lasts for 20 minutes and you gain no experience while playing the game. Some people might think that it is actually not worth it as you have to wait 2 minutes for the games to start.

I had an infatuation with stealing creation after i played a few rounds to purchase the sacred clay hammers which kicky told me about. Every night, Tim would request me to play a few rounds with him. During most of the games, the adversaries would most probably shelter in the fog or at their camp which was annoying. The situation changed completely when Tim joined in for the kill. He was the catalyst for the annihilation of the opposition party. :O
To me he was the best teammate and to the enemy, he was their nemesis.

Oh yeah 18 kills, you could go to Tiz's Blog and see for yourself that my screenshot pwned all of his.

Salve Amulet (e)

Using time to my advantage while i was creating my blog and drafting my post, I managed to gain some exp from killing the Spiders (level 50) in the security stronghold. The warriors that fought alongside me probably felt bored and initiated a chat to relieve their boredom. Disallowing me to Alt + Tab back to my blog, they kept asking me questions, i was coerced to be nice and reply to their endless probing. They began talking from my skillcape to their 99 goals which is nothing more than a nuisance to me.

The only topic that caught my attention was the Ankous(level 75) at level 4 of the stronghold. They mentioned that the Salve Amulet (e) would add a 20% bonus to your attack and strength level, which proved appealing to me. I quickly began browsing through the Haunted Mine Quest Guide on zybez and to my surprise! I only need my melee gear( with food and prayer pots) + a chisel to complete the quest.

The Treus Dayth(level 95) which appeared at the final part of the quest was indeed an annoyance. He would teleport around the room and use the cranes/throw pickaxes to deal some damage. His feeble nonsense did not stop me, of course. A mere and pathetic dragon dagger special put an end to his mischief and rescinded him from appearing in front of me again.

After finishing him off and getting the Salve Amulet, i still need the Tarn's Diary to enchant it. The Guide to The Lair of Tarn Razorlor was definitely long. Reading the guide became a very tedious job for me. Luckily, i found the FAQ part below the Guide which addressed that a ring of slaying would teleport me directly to the Tarn's Lair after the completion of Haunted mine.

Killing Tarn Razorlor was ridiculously easy. Maybe due to the level difference between me and him, Tarn Razorlor(level 69) Vs Forminable (level 116). The handy dragon dagger has aided me in killing his first form with just 3 specials and i managed to pull off a 20 21 with my last spec on his final form. I switched back to my whip and quickly delivered the ending blow.

I went to the Ankous to try out my newly received Salve Amulet (e) which increased my max hit to 30 without potting. They are definitely a much better foe to train on compared to the Monkey Guardians on Ape Atoll due to their low defence and awesome drops ( 5-11 Blood runes, 5-10 Death runes, 15 Pure essence, 2 Law runes, 7-12 adamant arrows and lastly Level 3 Clue!).

After viewing many of the clan mates' blogs, i was pretty much influenced and encouraged to have a runescape blog as well. I hope the enthusiasm would last for a decent year or even better, get me hooked on blogging.

It did took a few hours , as i did not choose the classic template offered by blogger. Lacking of creative ideas for my blog, i went to some of the clan mates' blog and used their format as a "reference".

Titus' blog and the others have a very good layout/ideas but they just aren't what my heart was searching for. When i visited to Tim's blog, i saw a variety of new codes which had very cool features, and did a little research :O . However i would not mention them here, it would certainly be more interesting for you to search my blog if you really wanted to know what i have looted.
Too bad, the dragon dagger cursor code on Tim's blog seems to have mystically vanished and i can't find any sites offering the qool runescape cursors.

More problems > More codes > More blog features. I had a lot of code errors to deal with and some of them took me more than half an hour. Thanks to my steely determination, I persevered and fixed most of the problems. I was sanguine that the blog will perhaps improve my vocabulary which will be beneficial for me when i needed to insult someone or use them for the future when I have a career. If you realised, sanguine and perhaps formed as irony.
